IED Lab focuses on electrical power engineering. The areas of focus being addresed by IED Lab include Renewable Energy Sources and Custom Power Devises. IED Lab also provides leadership for creating electric power processing systems, emphasizing renewable grid integration systems, emergency and backup electric power sources and power quality systems. IED Lab is also advancing the multilevel converters concept to a wide variety of next generation, energy efficient and environmetally firendly applications.
