The Photonics Research Lab (PRL) at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Tehran, has the mission to provide a research environment for those graduate students of electrical engineering who are interested in photonics. 

Our research line mainly includes:

• Computational methods for analysis of passive and active optical components

• Photonic crystals and their applications

• Optical metamaterials

• Plasmonics and its applications

• Terahertz Engineering
