Following some 20 years of professional career in French software house companies as R&D manager, senior consultant, etc., I joined the academic community of the University of Tehran in September 2000. Some of my current fields of interests are:

• Database Systems (implementation, reverse engineering, normalization, and optimization)
• Designing CASE Tools (software generation, integration, and modernization)
• Legacy Systems (migration to modern environments)
• XML Databases (implementation, data mining, and information retrieval)

	1983-1987:	PhD. of Computer Sciences (Paris VI University - MASI)
		Thesis title: Concurrency Control based on Events Synchronizations Areas: Distributed Information Systems, Distributed Transactions and Replicated Data, Concurrency Control on Distributed Environments, Optimization and Synchronization of Transactions on Distributed Environments, Transactions Modeling and Semantics Recognition, etc.
	1981-1983:	M.Sc. of Computer Sciences (DEA) (Paris VI University - MASI)
		Thesis title: Modeling of a Distributed System Areas: File Systems Implementation, Database Management Systems (DBMS), Communication Networks, System Simulations, Integrated Electronic Circuits and their Modeling Methods (REMORA), etc.
	1974-1980:	B.Sc. of Electronics (Sharif University of Technology - Tehran)
		Areas: Multi-discipline studies (mathematics, physics, mechanics, dynamics, chemistry, architecture and electrotechnics) with specialization in Electronics and Computer Science during the last two years.

   Design of: System software and tools, high-level languages (4GL, 5GL, Object-oriented), object
   databases, expert systems, system automation/normalization and optimization, database
   normalization and optimization, database query normalization and optimization, etc.

• One of the first Object-Oriented Databases (1981-1984)
• One of the first Object-Oriented Programming Languages (1984-1986)
• One of the first Object-Oriented Expert Systems for interactive development of Applications (1986-1990)
• Database Query Normalization Interfaces (1990-1995)
• 3GL Application Normalization Interfaces (1995-1997)
• An economical proceeding for automatic upgrading of 3GL Applications regarding EURO and Year 2000 compliance issues (1997-1999)
