With the aim of developing devices for high-performance packet processing applications, several projects have been performed in this area. At one end, we aim at achieving extreme performance in speed by designing parallel and pipelined scalable building blocks. At the other end, we look at requirements of upcoming packet-based network-connected personal devices for which portability and low power consumption are critical necessities.
