Biophysics

Department of Biophysics:

The department of Biophysics was founded officially in 2002 and is located at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the University of Tehran (UT). Biophysicists at IBB are working in various fields of radiobiology, membrane biophysics, computational biophysics, biophysical chemistry, biothermodynamics, bioelectrochemistry and the design of biosensors. Well-equipped laboratories are provided for researchers and students in these disciplines and related subjects. The postgraduate program here offers a flexible curriculum of exciting courses related to these fields, taking advantage of the resources available at University of Tehran. Faculty members and students in this department also have joint programs with international research groups outside Iran.
