• Tenure Track Faculty Positions in Robotics

The Machine Intelligence and Robotics Group at the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Tehran offers up to three tenure track faculty positions. The areas of interest include, but not limited to, the following areas: * Machine Learning (especially Interactive and imitative Learning, and analysis of Big Data) * Cognitive modeling (Behavioral and Neural levels) * Cognitive Robotics * Social Networks Potential candidates are supposed to hold a PhD degree from renowned international universities in addition to strong academic records and proved world class capabilities in research. Applicants with degree in electrical or computer engineering are encouraged to apply. The candidates are expected to teach in Persian, conduct independent research, and at the same time contribute to ongoing projects in the areas listed above. Expertise in developing and working with real systems and/or multi-disciplinary background, is a big plus for applicants. About the Machine Intelligence and Robotics Group at the School of ECE at UT University of Tehran is the first modern and highest rank university in Iran. Recently, it has received a multi-million dollar grant from the Cognitive Science and Technology Counsel of Iran to start the Brain Mapping National Lab for cognitive studies. The Machine Intelligence and Robotics Group, at the school of ECE, attracts the top ranked students in the area of Machine Intelligence and Robotics and enjoys a very friendly and cooperative academic environment. The focus of this group is to deepen our knowledge about cognitive creatures in addition to develop intelligent systems and algorithms toward improving the human life through different applications such as cognitive rehabilitation, search and rescue, and social networks. The group has collaboration with researchers from Cognitive, Psychology, Neuro, and medical science areas
